Following are examples of the tactics we are incorporating into many of our events.
- Limiting lighting and HVAC during set-up days
- Reducing carpeting
- Eliminating printed handouts and replacing with digital information
- Recycling badges
- Reducing food waste
- Offering plant-based and meat free options
- Utilizing reusable cups, plates and utensils
- Reducing single use plastics
- Refillable water stations
- Using local suppliers and labor, when possible, to avoid unnecessary freight, travel and to support the local economy
- Gathering travel information at point of registration for documentation
- Providing recommendations on how participants and exhibitors can help reduce their emissions
- Providing industry education through online and session content
